A newborn baby terrifies his mother and is rejected by his father. In Perros-Guirec, Mr. Lavadet, a humble musician, raises his daughter Adalia in the company of Guido Delangedot, the young Viscount. Adalia's father promises that one day the angel of music will visit her.
