This interview begins with Dent talking about his career as a salesman when he was young. He goes on to describe his next job in the legal defense office. He tells various stories about the people he met and experiences he had.
The interview picks up with Dent talking about a man named Fuller who started up his own cosmetic company. He says he was involved in selling the cosmetics as well. He said it was a really good experience for him. He then talks about more memories of people from his past. He talks about a woman named Lena who helped him get a job with the Welfare Department. He describes what he did in that job and the kinds of people he met. He talks about how he couldn't work there forever because it was sad. Dent then talks about how he started work in the legal defense office. Dent begins to tell a story about a freedom rider case and some of the people he met including Thurgood Marshall and Charlie Black.
