Front of dance card reads: "Grand Fireman's' Civic Ball Will Be Given By The Hydrant Engine Co., Washington Hall, Railway Village, Milton on Tuesday Evening Jan. 4th, 1870, Patriot Press, - Quincy." Dance card also identifies Capt. Samuel Alden as the Floor Director, and Geo F. Choate and John Peirce, and Charles Leavitt as 1st and 2nd Aids.
