Mrs. John Toole's notebook
Toole, John Kennedy, 1937-1969 Toole, Thelma
Two notebooks bound together with black construction paper and tape. Typed label on front cover reads: "Mrs. John Toole, 2226 Cambronne St. (crossed out), New Orleans, La." Notebook contains newspaper clippings of song lyrics, puns, articles, quotes, and jokes glued to various pages. Notebook includes several typed and handwritten poems. Pages 3-12 contain J.K. Toole's geography lessons. Pages 41-43 include an article about Walker Percy and advertisements for A Confederacy of Dunces.
