This is an image of the obverse and reverse of a rectangular bronze medal (7.0 x 5.8 x 0.5 cm) commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Association Générale des Médecins de France from 1908. The obverse has the inscription: "ASSOCIATION GENERALE | DES | MEDECINS DE FRANCE | CINQUANTENAIRE | 1858 1908"- and depicts Cupid on altar holding a torch above an altar. The reverse has the inscription: "MEDICIS AUXILIUM | ET | TUTELA". Cinquatenaire 1950-1908 (50th anniversary commemoration) and it depicts with Aesculapius holding his rod in front of two women holding parchments inscribed with "Medicis Auxilium et Tutela" (translation: Care and medical help). The medal engraver noted is Prud'homme. G.: Georges-Henri Prud'Homme (1873-1947) a French sculptor and engraver.
