Jackson and Jim Russell are filmed discussing the Dew Drop Inn, both outdoors on LaSalle Street and inside the venue. As a white man who booked Black entertainers, Russell recalls Frank Painia securing his services to book music artists at Painia’s club, which served a Black clientele during pre-integration New Orleans.
