Line drawing detail of the three royal figures atop the Palace tablet text. The central figure is K'inich K'an Joy Chitam II flanked by his parents: left, K'inich Janaab Pakal; and right, Lady Tz'akbu Ajaw. The figures sit on deified benches associated with the three stones of creation. Pakal holds a headdress. Lady Tz'akbu Ajaw holds a bowl containing a personified eccentric flint and flayed face shield. Hieroglyphic texts describe the scene.
