Junior Eddie Price led the scoring attack as the Green Wave swamped LSU by a score of 46-0 to end the season 9-1 under coach Henry Frnka. On the year, sophomore Joe Ernst threw for 809 yards, while Dick Sheffield averaged 18.6 yards per catch, aided by all-SEC tackle Paul Lea and center Stan Kotteman.
