Villemont appeared before the Superior Council on behalf of his wife [Françoise] Petit de Coulange, widow of [Vincent Guillaume] Le Senechal Dauberville, against Charles Lesassier, guardian of [Marie Louise] Dauberville. Villemont charged that Lesassier had been intentionally negligent in his duties as curator by not collecting debts owed to the Dauberville estate. He asked that he be allowed to pursue matters himself in Lesassier's name, or that the Council appoint a new tutor for Mlle Dauberville. The Council authorized Villemont to seek to collect all sums owed to the Dauberville succession.
